It can be used in the production of fertilizers, synthetic rubber, batteries and cells, reagents, xanthates, various salts, electrolytes, as well as in the medical industry and other economic sectors. Oxypotassium hydrate is available in two forms: solid, flake form, and solution form.
In contact with the skin and mucous membranes, including the eyes, the substance causes burns. The MPC dispersion of potassium hydroxide in the work area is -0.5mg/m3.
The potassium hydroxide solution is stored in a closed container made of special steel. Store drums with solid product in covered, unheated warehouses or under ceilings.
